Hai Pixel, the first interactive LED-floor venue in Chișinău, opened in June 2026 at Grand Hall, 2/4 Constantin Negruzzi Boulevard, 2nd floor, and holds a 5.0 rating on Google. We host company teams every week, so this guide is written from inside the corporate-events market. We built it as a complete answer rather than an advert, though: the list includes formats that have nothing to do with us, we say plainly when another option is the better choice, and we finish with an anti-list of the ideas employees genuinely hate.
How we ranked the 14 ideas
Any list of ideas only becomes useful once it has clear criteria. We used these four, in order of importance:
- The participation test. The question that separates great team buildings from awkward ones: how many people actually play, and how many just watch? A format that activates six colleagues out of twenty does not unite a team, it splits it.
- Team size. A format that shines with 8 people can turn chaotic at 20, and a game designed for crowds dies in a small group. For each idea we note the range where it works naturally.
- Budget. We give exact figures only for Hai Pixel, because those are the only ones we can guarantee. For everything else we use honest qualitative bands: low, medium or high.

1. LED-floor score games: first place on participation
Across roughly 360 m² of pressure-sensitive LED floor at Hai Pixel run more than 30 movement games, in rounds of 2-3 minutes, with the score displayed live on the wall monitor. That exact combination wins the participation test: rules are learned in seconds, a round is short enough that nobody has time to get bored, and the public score instantly sparks friendly rivalries between departments.
You play in socks, in relaxed office clothes, with no special equipment and no particular fitness requirement: the games vary in intensity, from reflexes and memory to sprints. The format works identically for colleagues aged 25 and 55, and 1-hour or 2-hour sessions are booked online on the team building page, with instant confirmation.
2. Escape rooms
Chișinău has a rich escape-room scene, with themes from historical mysteries to science fiction. For teams, the format excels at logic and communication under pressure, and introverts often shine here, because thinking matters more than a loud voice. The structural limit: one room holds a small team, so a large group splits into cells that live separate experiences and only have stories to compare afterwards. It works best as a qualifying round, followed by an activity with everyone in the same hall.
3. A city quest through the centre
A treasure hunt with phones and clues, on a route that can link Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, Cathedral Park and the side streets around them, is easy to organise even internally: someone on the team prepares the challenges, everyone else splits into groups and races the clock. Low to medium budget, movement, the city, funny photos. The obvious risk is the weather: serious rain turns the quest into a sprint towards the nearest cafe, so always prepare a backup plan.
4. A cooking competition or class
Cooking as a team passes the participation test almost perfectly: everyone has a role, from chopping vegetables to plating, and at the end the result is eaten together, which closes the evening naturally. The format needs a medium to high budget and a dedicated space, so it suits small to medium teams. Pick the competition version with judging if your team is competitive, or the collaborative version for a relaxed evening.
5. A winery day: Cricova or Mileștii Mici
Wineries are Moldova's calling card, and a day at Cricova or Mileștii Mici reliably impresses colleagues visiting from abroad. Honestly though: as team building it is a passive format, with a lot of sitting, listening and tasting. Drivers and colleagues who do not drink take part only partially, and return transport has to be organised separately. Ideal for festive occasions and guests, less suited when the goal is activating the whole team.
What do you do with a team of 17-24 or more?
This is where most formats fall apart: escape rooms split the team into separate cells, restaurants seat it down, and a sports tournament activates only part of it. At Hai Pixel, group sessions scale across floors: up to 8 players use one floor, 9 to 16 use two, and 17 to 24 use three floors in parallel. Everyone plays at the same time, in teams that can rotate and face each other, and nobody waits on the sidelines.

How much does team building at Hai Pixel cost?
The price depends on three things: the number of players, the day and the hour. Monday to Thursday between 10:00 and 16:00 is the promotional band, the cheapest. Monday to Thursday evening, 16:00 to 22:00, is the standard band. Friday, Saturday and Sunday run on the weekend rate all day, so yes, Friday evening costs the same as Saturday. A 2-hour session costs roughly 1.85 times the 1-hour price, not double.

Prices are totals for the whole team, include the floors the group needs, and are read straight from the site's pricing engine. Watch out for a common trap: inside each bracket the price rises per person, so a team of 10 does not pay the same as a team of 9. A concrete calculation: 16 colleagues, Thursday at 18:00, a 2-hour session. The total is 3700 MDL, that is 3700 divided by 16, roughly 231 MDL per person. The same team on Monday at 14:00 pays 2960 MDL, exactly 185 MDL per person. If nobody brings socks, add the anti-slip socks: 16 x 30 = 480 MDL, so 3440 MDL in total for the Monday option.

Seasonal ideas: summer outdoors, winter indoors
From May to September, Chișinău is generous with outdoor formats: an organised picnic at Valea Morilor or Dendrariu, a quest through the centre, a volleyball tournament between departments. The Botanical Garden remains an underrated option for walks with team challenges. They all share the same Achilles heel, the weather forecast, so always prepare an indoor plan B for the same day.

The anti-list: formats employees hate
The themes that come up again and again when teams tell us about their failed experiences:
- Trust falls and forced-contact exercises. Falling backwards into colleagues' arms builds awkwardness more often than trust. Imposed physical contact remains the number one source of discomfort in classic team buildings.
- Mandatory karaoke. As an optional activity at the end of the evening, wonderful. As a compulsory challenge, with the microphone passed to everyone in turn, it becomes a small public nightmare for the quiet majority of the team.
- The all-day seminar disguised as team building. Eight hours of presentations with a pizza break do not become fun just because the invitation has an emoji in the subject line. Employees feel the difference immediately.
- The mandatory weekend retreat. Personal time is personal. An excellent event scheduled on a Saturday, with no alternative, starts with a resentment handicap that no facilitator can recover.
- Competitions that humiliate publicly. Punishments, forfeits, leaderboards with the last place in bold: the laughter belongs to the group, but at the expense of a single person. Healthy rivalry is built between teams, not against one colleague.

When is Hai Pixel NOT the right choice?
- You want more than 24 people playing the same game simultaneously. Our floors hold a maximum of 24 players in parallel; for 25 to 60 we work with rotations between games and breaks, which changes the dynamic. If rotations do not fit your goal, pick another format.
- The goal of the evening is a long dinner with seated conversations. We are a play-and-movement space, not a restaurant. For two hours of conversation around a table, a dedicated venue serves you far better.
- You are looking for a multi-day offsite in nature. A session with us lasts 1-2 hours and can be an excellent piece of the programme, but not the whole programme of a retreat.
- Several colleagues have limited mobility. Our games are movement-based. There is a strategist or referee role at the edge of the floor, but a seated format, such as a quiz or a board game, includes them more equally.
We would rather lose a booking than win a disappointed team: in the long run, the honest recommendation is also the best advertising.

Just comfortable clothes: the floor is played in socks. Anyone without them buys anti-slip socks on the spot for 30 MDL. No special fitness is required, the games vary in intensity and alternate.
Can we come in the evening, after work?
Yes, the venue is open daily 10:00-22:00, so a session from 18:00 or 19:00 fits easily after office hours. Monday to Thursday evening runs on the standard price band; Friday evening is priced as weekend. Booking is online, with instant confirmation.
