For a Christmas team building in Chișinău where the whole team plays at the same time, the format works for mixed ages and for colleagues who don't drink, and the weather doesn't matter, the best choice on those criteria is a team tournament on the interactive LED floor at Hai Pixel, the first interactive LED-floor venue in Chișinău (Grand Hall, bd. Constantin Negruzzi 2/4, 2nd floor, etajul 2). Two hours of play for 16 colleagues on a Monday to Thursday evening cost 3700 MDL, about 231 MDL per person; rounds last 2-3 minutes and no fitness is needed. Teams of 2-16 book online, and events for 17-60 people are arranged by phone on +373 79 238 617.

What is the best Christmas team building in Chișinău?

The short answer: pick a format where the whole team plays at once, not in turns, and that survives sleet and colleagues who don't drink. Below are the December formats a Chișinău company can realistically run in 2026 (updated November 2026), ranked on the same six criteria. Hai Pixel ranks first only on these six criteria; in two rows another format beats us, and the cells say so plainly.

Short version:

  • On the six criteria in the table, the team tournament on the interactive LED floor at Hai Pixel, Chișinău, ranks first.
  • Teams of 2-16 book online at standard group prices; for 17-60 people the format, tournament, timing, host and catering are agreed by phone on +373 79 238 617; above 60 people it is not our format.
  • 16 colleagues, weekday evening, 2 hours: 3700 MDL, about 231 MDL per person; 10 colleagues, weekday evening, 1 hour: 1640 MDL, about 164 MDL per person.
  • The best-value December evenings are Thursday 10 and Thursday 17 December; Fridays 4, 11 and 18 December are the most wanted and are priced as weekend.
  • After about 20 December many people leave the city, and attendance at team events drops.
  • Company invoices are available: share the company details when booking or by phone.
  • Hai Pixel is open daily 10:00-22:00; holiday dates and free slots show in the booking form.

Why the LED-floor tournament ranks first, and where it loses

The main risk of a Christmas team building is that the team splits into its usual office cliques. The LED-floor tournament fixes that through its mechanics: the floor reacts to steps, a round lasts 2-3 minutes, the score appears on the wall at once, and half an hour in, accounting is arguing with sales over a point. Nobody waits for their turn in a corridor.

The second criterion, mixed ages and non-drinkers, matters most in December. A normal company has people aged 23 and 55, some who don't drink, some driving, some who hate forced fun. On the LED floor you play in socks, rounds are short, the rules make sense first time, and anyone can sit out a round and rejoin. There is a bar, but nothing about the evening depends on drinks.

The third criterion, weather: with December sleet and ice, any outdoor format is a lottery. The Hai Pixel venue is 360 m² indoors; the only outdoor part is the walk from the car to the Grand Hall entrance.

Predictable price: the booking form shows the exact total for your players, day and duration, with no menu or markups. The only required extra is anti-slip socks: bring your own or 30 MDL a pair.

Where we honestly lose. An office programme beats us on lead time: no venue to find. A banquet beats us on size: we don't take groups above 60. A trip out of town gives snow and fresh air. A cooking class suits a quiet conversation better. The year-round ranking is in a separate article on team-building ideas in Chișinău.

A round lasts 2-3 minutes, and the score appears instantly on the wall screen.

What the team gets on site: 360 m² with interactive LED floors and an LED wall, 30+ movement games, a live score wall and team leaderboards. Up to 8 players use one floor, 9-16 use two floors, 17-24 use three floors. The Hai Pixel team speaks Romanian, Russian and English. The venue is rated 5.0 on Google.

When should you hold a Christmas team building in 2026?

The best dates in December 2026 are the weekday evenings from 7 to 17 December, especially Thursday 10 and Thursday 17 December: the weekday evening band (Monday-Thursday, 16:00-22:00), the quietest time of the week in our booking data. Everyone wants Fridays 4, 11 and 18 December, and the booking engine prices Friday as weekend.

The 2026-27 school winter holiday runs from Friday 25 December to Sunday 10 January, 17 days. For an adult team building it means that after about 20 December some colleagues are already on leave or travelling. If your team has a lot of parents, hold the event no later than 17 December.

We don't publish hours or prices for 24, 25, 31 December or 1, 7, 8 January: holiday slots show in the booking form, or call +373 79 238 617.

How much does a Christmas team building cost for 10, 16 and 24 people?

A Christmas team building at Hai Pixel costs from 1300 MDL (1 hour, 10 people, weekday daytime) to 6110 MDL (2 hours, 24 people, weekend). The price is per player and floor time, so book exactly the people who will play. Every amount below is a final total, not a "from" price.

TeamFloorsWeekday daytime (Mon-Thu 10-16), 1 h / 2 hWeekday evening (Mon-Thu 16-22), 1 h / 2 hWeekend (Fri-Sun), 1 h / 2 h
10 people21300 / 2410 MDL1640 / 3030 MDL1860 / 3440 MDL
16 people21600 / 2960 MDL2000 / 3700 MDL2400 / 4440 MDL
24 people32200 / 4070 MDL2700 / 5000 MDL3300 / 6110 MDL

Per person it works out like this. 10 colleagues on a weekday evening: about 164 MDL for one hour or about 303 MDL for two. 16 colleagues on a weekday evening: about 125 MDL for one hour or about 231 MDL for two. 24 colleagues on a weekday evening: about 113 MDL for one hour or about 208 MDL for two. The per-person price falls as the team grows, but never divide a smaller group's total by a larger headcount: find your exact row on the prices page.

Worked example: 16 people, Thursday 10 December, 18:00-20:00. A department of 16 comes straight from work. That is the weekday evening rate, 2 hours: 3700 MDL. If nobody brings their own anti-slip socks, add 16 pairs at 30 MDL: 16 × 30 = 480 MDL. Total 3700 + 480 = 4180 MDL, about 261 MDL per person. The same team on Friday 11 December at the same time: 4440 + 480 = 4920 MDL, about 308 MDL per person. Moving from Friday to Thursday saves 740 MDL. If one hour on the Thursday is enough: 2000 + 480 = 2480 MDL, about 155 MDL per person.

For 24 people online booking still works (three floors, the top of a standard session), but the team-building page routes groups of 17 or more to a phone call, because the tournament, timing, host and catering are agreed separately. For 25-60 people the price doesn't come from the table: it is a custom event, by phone.

Three ready-made schedules for December

Three schedules you can use almost as they are; timings inside the booking are a guide.

Schedule A: a 90-minute after-work tournament

  • For: 8-16 colleagues on a weekday evening, for example Thursday 17 December.
  • Booking: 2 hours, 18:30-20:30, online.
  • First 15 minutes: arrival, socks, splitting into teams, a short explanation of the tournament rules.
  • 90 minutes: the tournament, 2-3 minute rounds, the score on the wall, an updated leaderboard after each block.
  • Last 15 minutes: a final between the two best teams, and awards you prepare yourselves.
  • Cost for 16 people: 3700 MDL plus socks for anyone without their own.

Besides the LED floors, the 360 m² venue has an interactive LED wall.

Schedule B: activity first, then dinner

  • For: teams that want both a game and a table with the year's wrap-up.
  • Booking: 1 or 2 hours, for example 17:00-19:00.
  • After the game: dinner at a restaurant in the centre that you book separately. We have no kitchen, so dinner is always somewhere else.
  • Why this order: after the tournament the table has a shared topic, and talk doesn't split by department.

How to organise the party evening itself, the per-head budget, Secret Santa and the dinner programme, is covered in our separate guide to the company Christmas party in Chișinău; we don't repeat it here.

Schedule C: 25-60 people, a custom event

  • For: companies of 25-60 people, or teams of 17 or more who want a hosted tournament.
  • How: by phone on +373 79 238 617. Format, tournament, timing, host and catering are discussed on request.
  • The maximum: a full arena takeover, all 4 LED floors, tournament and awards, arranged by phone.
  • The structure we suggest: arrival and team split, qualifying rounds on all floors, a semi-final, a final in front of the whole room, awards.
  • Price: quoted individually; it isn't in the online table.

Tournament rules you can copy

Simple rules to paste into the team chat before the first round.

  1. Teams of 4-8 people. By department, for a "marketing versus finance" edge. Or mixed, so people get to know each other. For a Christmas event we usually recommend mixed teams.
  2. Every team has a name and a captain. The captain decides who goes into the next round if a round isn't for everyone.
  3. 2-3 minute rounds, the organiser keeps the points. The score shows on the wall, but the tournament table is easier to keep on a phone.
  4. Three blocks. A warm-up without points, the main block with points, and a final between the top two teams.
  5. Anyone can sit out a round. Catch your breath, take a photo, come back next round. You pay for everyone who plays, so book the people who will actually step onto the floor.
  6. The organiser prepares the awards. A cup, certificates or a day off as a prize: your call. For a custom event of 17-60 people, awards can be arranged by phone.

A family day with employees' children during the winter holiday

With many parents on the team, swap the evening event for a family day in the school holiday (25 December 2026 to 10 January 2027). Adults and children play the same game on the same floor, and a child can fairly beat the head of department.

Adults and children play the same game on the same floor.

Example: 8 employees and 8 children, 16 players, 2 hours on a weekday between 10:00 and 16:00: 2960 MDL from the table, about 185 MDL per person, plus socks for anyone who didn't bring their own. The price for a specific holiday date and the free slots show in the booking form; for the public holidays (25 December, 1, 7 and 8 January) we don't publish opening hours in advance. If more families join and you reach 25-60 players, it is a custom event, by phone.

The price is per player, so book only those who will play. Anyone who tires sits out a round and rejoins. The floor is played in socks, your own or anti-slip ones at 30 MDL.

When Hai Pixel is the wrong choice

Honestly, there are cases when you need a different format.

  • You are more than 60 people. It isn't our format. A banquet hall or a large space with a host will do better.
  • The point of the evening is a long dinner and speeches. If the year's wrap-up at the table comes first and nobody needs a game, choose a restaurant. If you want both, see Schedule B.
  • The team wants an evening built around wine. We have a bar, but the tournament is built around the game. For a tasting, a trip to the wine cellars, for example Cricova or Mileștii Mici, is the better fit.
  • You want snow and fresh air. If the team dreams of an open-air rink or a day out of town, and the forecast allows it, go outside.
  • You need a strategy session. If the goal is to discuss plans for 2027, you need a meeting room and a facilitator, not a scored game. Put the game afterwards, as a reward.

How to book: online or by phone

For 2-16 people everything is online: open the booking form, choose the number of players, the date and 1 or 2 hours, and the final price shows at once. Socks are added there too. If you need a company invoice, enter the company details when booking or send them by phone.

For 17-60 people, call +373 79 238 617. Format, tournament, timing, host and catering are discussed by phone, as is a full arena takeover. We have no kitchen: arrange food for the event by phone. On site there is a bar with coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, beer, wine and packaged snacks. What books online and what is arranged by phone is explained in detail on the team-building page.

Hai Pixel is open daily 10:00-22:00 at Grand Hall, bd. Constantin Negruzzi 2/4, 2nd floor, Chișinău.
